Mr. Blackburn, 31, died Saturday, May 22, 2010 at University Medical Center in El Paso, Texas.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Mr. Blackburn was born August 10, 1978 in Frankford, Indiana the son of Paul Van Blackburn Sr. and Kim Wyatt Blackburn.

He was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

He was a waiter at several local restaurants.

He was preceded in death by grandmother Deloris Wyatt, grandfathers James L. Wyatt Sr., Lewis Blackburn and Sonny Royce, a niece Courtney Wyatt and uncle Ron Blackburn.

Survivors include his parents Paul and Kim Blackburn of Artesia bothers Jason Wyatt of Whitney, Texas, and Eric Blackburn of Artesia grandmother Ruth Royce of Indianapolis, Indiana several nephews, niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.
