Patsy Thurman-Bartlett

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, at The Living Well Church for Patsy Ruth Thurman-Bartlett, of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Bartlett, 74, died Saturday, November 28, 2015 at San Pedro Nursing Center in Artesia.

Pastor Dan Mullins will officiate at the services with burial at Hagerman Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Thurman, Kenny Thurman, Joseph Thurman, Terry Mann, David Thurman, and John Thurman. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Thurman, and Eric Bell.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Patsy was born October 31, 1941 in Artesia, New Mexico; the daughter of Olen Thurman and Marian (DeWitt) Thurman. She was a lifelong Artesia resident.

She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God in Carlsbad. She was a former member of the Church of God in Artesia before it closed. Patsy enjoyed singing and painting, and she was always willing to give a helping hand to others. She loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Levy Bartlett; son Keith Bartlett, Ronnie Bartlett; Daughters Bonnie Bartlett, and Rita Bartlett; brother Donald Thurman.

Survivors include her sons Boyd Bartlett and wife Desarae of Albuquerque, N.M., Brandon Bartlett of Carlsbad, N.M., and Hunter Bartlett of Austin, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters Kathy Farrar of Artesia, and Teresa Thurman of Dallas, Texas; brothers Junior Thurman and wife Vicki of Artesia, Michael Thurman and wife Pam of Artesia, and Joe Bob Thurman and wife Yvonne of Artesia; and sister-in law Olivia Thurman of Artesia.
