Patsy Eaker

Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 17 at Terpening & Son Chapel for Mrs. Patsy Jean Eaker of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Eaker, 70, died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at her home with her family by her side.

James Parker will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Patsy was born July 12, 1946 to Lloyd James and Eunice (Poston) James in Nocona, Texas.

On July 6, 1995 she was married to Robert Eaker in Artesia. They were both long time Artesia residents.

She worked as a homemaker for her family and grandchildren. Spending time with them all was her love in life. Patsy attended The Refuge in Carlsbad, N.M. and also Catalyst Church in Artesia.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Melissa Morrison; and a grandson Alex Parker.

Patsy is survived by her husband Robert of the family home; children James Parker of Abilene, Texas, Kolbi Odom of Carlsbad, Staci Bricker of Artesia, Jaimie Rodriguez and husband Jesse of Carlsbad, Timber Brown of Artesia, Nichole Eaker of Roswell, N.M. and Jennifer Eaker of Roswell; sister Vickie Long of Texarkana, Texas; brothers Jerry McGuairt and wife Paula of Fort Stockton, Texas, and Tim James and wife Susan of Gillette, Wyoming; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
