Patrick Lara

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Friday, January 12, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Artesia, N.M., for Patrick Ray Alvarado Lara, 313 E. Hervey, Roswell, New Mexico. Mr. Lara, 33, died , Monday, January 8, 2007, at his home. Burial will be at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jamie Molina, Steven Molina, Angelo Guajardo, Elieseo Catano, Clarence Ornelas, Jimmy Hernandez. A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Lara was born October 7, 1973 in Artesia; the son of Antonio L. Lara Jr. and Socorro Alvarado Lara. He was a lifelong resident of the Artesia area. He was a truck driver and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He loved the outdoors and was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by his father, grandfathers, maternal grandmother, and a sister. Survivors include his mother Socorro Lara of Roswell; son Emilio Lara of Artesia; daughter Emery Lara of Artesia; brothers Rodney Lara of Artesia, Phillip Lara of Alamogordo, N.M., and Anthony Lara III of Artesia; sisters Annette Gonzalez of Roswell, Caroline Lara of Roswell, and Candace Lara of Artesia; paternal grandmother Lilia Lara of Artesia.
