Patrick Huggins

There are no local service scheduled at this time for Patrick Arthur Huggins of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Huggins, 62, died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Artesia General Hospital Emergency Room.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Wednesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Cremation will then take place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Patrick was born December 13, 1951 in Oxford, Mississippi the son of Arthur Sevetus Huggins, Sr. and Repsie Opal Haley Huggins.

Patrick served his country in the United States Navy.

On December 22, 1973 he was married to Lynda Axon in Middleboro, Massachusetts. They moved to Artesia on March 20, 1990 from Berkshire, Vermont.

He was a Supervisor with the Border Patrol and retired in 2001. After his retirement, Patrick went back to work with the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center as a PT instructor. He was a member of the V.F.W. and also the Mopar Muscle Car Club in Albuquerque, N.M.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents grandparents and a brother Steven Huggins.

Survivors include his wife Lynda Huggins of the family home daughter Haley Huggins of Artesia sons Jason Patrick Huggins and wife Jessica of Artesia, and Jack Lloyd Huggins and wife Irene of California and grandchildren Caroline, Tristen, Kara, and Conner Huggins.
