Services are scheduled 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 3, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Olga G. Chavez of Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Chavez, 64, died Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Carlsbad, New Mexico. PFather Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Michael Gonzales, Donny Gregory, Rudy Granados, Ronnie Troublefield, James Sedillo, and Angel Galindo. Interment will be at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. PA vigil service is also planned for 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Grace. Visitation at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday. PMrs. Chavez was born December 10, 1941 in Ojinaga, Mexico; the daughter of Ambrosio Granados and Ramona Mendoza Granados. She came to Artesia in 1952 from California. Her parents preceded her in death. POn July 2, 1961 she was married to Ernest Chavez, Sr. in Artesia. PShe was a Nurses Aide and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband Ernest Chavez, Sr. of the family home; a son Ernest Chavez, Jr. of Carlsbad; a daughter Esther Mulligan Van Sickle of Artesia; a brother Rudy Granados and wife Oco of El Paso, Texas; a sister Margaret Gregory and husband Don of El Paso; an aunt Lupe Ramirez of Artesia; grandchildren Briana Chavez of Artesia, Kyle Mulligan of Artesia, and Kerensa Van Sickle of Artesia; and numerous cousins, nieces; and nephews.
