Ola Morgan

January 24, 1933 — March 21, 2010

Graveside services for Ola Mae Morgan were held today, March 23, 2010, at 2:00 p.m., at Woodbine Cemetery. The burial was conducted by Reverend David Brunson. Serving as honorary pallbearers were those lovingly referred to as The Loco Hillians.

Ola Mae Morgan passed away Sunday, March 21, 2010, at home in Artesia. She was born to Burdett and Mae Davis on January 24, 1933. Ola Mae graduated from Artesia High School in 1951. She then married William Bill Morgan on June 23, 1951. Mae worked for many years in the oil and gas industry. After the death of her husband, she returned to work at the Oil Conservation Division where she could best serve the independent oil producer, a profession that was near to her heart. Some of her favorite memories were of square dancing with Bill, summers at the lake with her family and bowling with the girls.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She leaves behind two sons and their families, Frank Morgan, his wife Robin and their son Taylor. Carl Morgan, his wife Gwenetta, and daughter Kneely Morgan Wikes and husband John. She is also survived by one brother, Doyle Davis and his wife Judy, and one sister, JoAnn Letcher and her husband Sonny, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family asks that donations be made to Vista Care Hospice.

Mom, Ola Mae, Mae, Mazie, Nanzie
You were a beautiful woman, a beautiful soul,
You are loved among us all.
We are going to miss you so much,
But we know you are dancing the dance
With your husband William.
We love you
