Norma McGee passed away peacefully July 21, 2007 at her home. She was 77 years old. Norma was born February 5, 1930 on a ranch north of Ft. Sumner, New Mexico to Thomas Elton and Edith L. Nappier. PNorma graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's degree in education and home economics. She taught school for five years in Ft. Sumner, Santa Rosa and Socorro. After moving to Artesia in 1960, she went to work for the New Mexico Health and Human Services Department. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Eastern Star and Artesia Garden Club. She was also a faithful supporter of the flower show at the Eddy county fair. PNorma was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Robert L. Bob Boling and Andrew Duncan; and sister Edith Ann Head. She is survived by her husband John McGee of the family home; daughters Pati Boling-Robinson and Vicki McGee-Thurman both of Artesia; sons Bill Boling of Las Cruces, N.M., and Jimmy Boling and wife Renee of Artesia; brother Thomas Elton Nappier of Rocky River, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; and 9 greatgrandchildren. PA viewing will be held at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary from 10:00 a.m. till 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25. Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Artesia at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2007. Graveside services will be held at the Chavez Cemetery in Ft. Sumner at 3:00 p.m.
