Noreen "Norie" Raymos

Noreen "Norie" Raymos was born on January 26, 1943 in Monterey, California to Clinton and Ellen Barcus. Norie was the oldest of 5 children. Norie passed from this life on January 15, 2025 in Lubbock, Texas.

Norie grew up in the Monterey area, and then spent some time living in Vallejo, California. She worked various jobs including The Cannery, the Ford Department Store and Cactus Farm Nursery in Monterey. In 2006 she moved to Artesia, NM to be closer to her son.

She married Harry Raymos on May 19, 1989 in Reno, Nevada.

Norie and Harry taught country/western and line dancing for many years in California. Upon moving to Artesia, Norie began line dancing at the Artesia Senior Center where she made many friends. Norie also loved to read.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Larry Barcus and sister Lisa Morford, and ex-husband Ron Fields.

Norie is survived by daughter, DeAnna Stone (Richard), son Tracy Fields (Jennifer), Harry's daughters Ronda Koot (Norm), and Kirstin Jarmin (Jeff). Sisters Susan Ballin (Ray) and Mary Barcus (Bob), grandchildren Julia Fields (Marcus), Jacob Fields (Katrina), Brandy Brown (Trever), Brandon Stone, Vincent Koot, Alex Koot, Tyler Jarmin (Marilyn), Breanna Jarmin (Mason), Rylee Jarmin, Jeffrey Jarmin. Great grandchildren Kendra Ellis, Marley Brown, Aaliyah Stone, Aaloney Stone, B.J. Stone, Gia Garmin, Mila Jarmin and Jade Jarmin.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025 at 2:00 pm at the Lake Arthur Community Center, 700 N. Maine, Lake Arthur, New Mexico.
