Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, at Faith Baptist Church for Norbin Webb, 1409 W. Washington Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Webb, 94, died Sunday, February 24, 2008 at his home. Pastor Michael Elliott and Cheto Moreno will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Carroll Lockett, Bill Laman, Dan Lewis, Sammie Blount, and Travis Laman. Honorary pallbearers will be Cheto Moreno, Jerry Huckabee, Cecil Laman, Darrell Thompson, Leon Pearce and Curtis Teel. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Webb was born March 1, 1913 in Poteau, Oklahoma; the son of Ben Webb and Pearl Marion Webb. On Nov. 30, 1933 he was married to Louise Michael in Poteau. He came to Artesia in 1963 from Whiteface, Texas. She preceded him in death June 22, 2007. He was a Pumper for General America Oil Company and retired in 1977. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church, loved to go camping and fishing, and his fondest memories were while camping with Rip and Lorene VanWinkle and Cecil and Billie Laman. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, one grandson, and son-in-law David Singleton. Survivors include daughter Gayle Singleton of Artesia; 3 grandchildren Tim Singleton of Van Alstyne, Texas, Skip Singleton of Artesia, and Krystal Carnero and husband Eddy of Artesia; 5 great-grandchildren Mandy, Tieler, Jacob, Keryssa and E.J.; great-great-grandson Ethan.
