Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, at West Main Baptist Church for Nina Boggs of Artesia, New Mexico.
Pastor Jason Kraft and Mike Spencer will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Lake Arthur, Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary Sunday, November 8, from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Nina Elizabeth (Liz) Duncan Cox Boggs, 89, passed away in the early hours of November 5, 2020 at Artesia Health-care Facility.
Nina was born May 15, 1931, in Lake Arthur, to Garland and Mabel (Tice) Duncan Nina was a lifelong resident of the Pecos Valley as a member of Eastern Star. She loved gardening, fishing, square dancing, camping, and sewing although her specialty was talking on the phone.
In December 1945 she married Oscar Avery Cox of Artesia.
In March 1979 she Married Delbert L. Boggs in a little Church in Dexter, NM. He proceeded her in death in August of 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents Garland and Mabel Duncan her sons Leslie, & Oscar (Bert) Cox Brothers Bud and Tommy Duncan, and a grandson William Cox.
Nina loved her family and loved when everyone was together for big family meals. She also loved her "coffee group" which consisted of her siblings gathering around her dining room table and "discussing" the world's problems and how they would fix it. Or to discuss who was on what medication this month. And always ending with lots of laughs.
Nina is survived by her sons, Wesley and wife Barbra of Lubbock Tex. Willam (Bill) and wife Alison of Albuquerque NM. Larry and wife Wendi of Las Cruces NM. Daughters Kay Ross, of North Carolina, Glyna Mullins and husband David. Of Artesia, NM. Sisters Charolette Livingston and husband Robert of Albuquerque NM. Gene Achterberg of Snyder,Texas, Doris Dees of Roswell NM, Oleta Eaker of Roswell NM. Brother Bobby Ray Duncan of Artesia. 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews.
The family wish to express their gratitude and thanks to the staff of Artesia Heath Care Facility.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimers Association.
