Nena Salmon

Services are scheduled at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 8, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Magdalena Larez Nena Salmon, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Salmon, 60, died Wednesday, September 3, 2003 at Artesia General Hospital. Father Benedict Folger will officiate at the services assisted by Father Richard Lifrak and Deacon Pablo Merjil. ico Ochoa, Sam Herrera, Abelardo Montes, Benny Guzman, and Lupe Mariscal. A rosary service is also scheduled for 5:00 P.M. Sunday at Our Lady of Grace. Mrs. Salmon was born November 10, 1942 in Artesia, New Mexico; the daughter of Angel Larez and Guadalupe Hernandez Larez. On November 23, 1967 she was married to Margarito Salmon in Carlsbad, NM. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. She was a Day Care Provider and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, a Eucharistic Minister and active in many other church activities. She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandmother Andrea Hernandez; and by a granddaughter Darian Jimenez. Survivors include her husband Margarito Salmon of Artesia; sons Ricky Garcia of Artesia, Dennis Garcia of Artesia, Danny Salmon of Las Cruces, NM and Tito Salmon of Artesia; daughters Patty Sandoval of Las Cruces, and Susie Boling of Artesia; half-brother Roosevelt Armendariz of Carlsbad; a sister Lucy Guajardo of Artesia; half-sister Dorinda Orquidez of Carlsbad; 18 grandchildren; and niece and nephew Vanessa and Jacob Guajardo of Artesia.
