Nellie Britton

Graveside services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Saturday, July 31, at Restlawn Memorial Park in El Paso, Texas for Nellie Jo Britton of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Britton, 82, died Friday, July 23, 2004 in Artesia. Rev. Cecil Kimberlin will officiate at the services. Visitation will be at Kastor-Maxon-Futrell Funeral Home in El Paso from 5 to 9 P.M. Friday July 30. Mrs. Britton was born August 4, 1921 in Lowell, Arizona; the daughter of E. L. Williams and Nellie Faye Helms Williams. On October 7, 1945 she was married to Charles P. Britton in El Paso. They came to Artesia in 2000 from Portales, N.M. Her husband preceded her in death December 6, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter. She was a seamstress and homemaker; and was a member of First Church of the Nazarene in Artesia. Survivors include sons Millard Britton and wife Janie of Pierce City, Missouri and W. Slim Britton of Artesia; daughters Mary Ann Gould and husband Roy of Meridian, Idaho and Joy MacKinnon and husband Steve of Artesia; a sister Betty Conklin of Las Cruces, N.M.; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
