Nathan Scott Smith, 62, of Hagerman, New Mexico, born march 30, 1961, went to be with our Lord on January 24, 2024.

Nathan was preceded in death by his father, Charles E. Smith; mother, Roselie K. Atkins; and sister, Charlene Smith. He is survived by wife, Regina Smith, of Hagerman, son Neal Smith, of Las Cruces, sister, Shelia M. Upton, of Peoria, Arizona; aunts Sharon Tyler and Elizabeth Capito; nieces Crystal Chandler, Tressa Upton, Cassy Upton; great niece Bailey Upton; many cousins, and friends.

Nathan was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. He enjoyed going to the casino, fishing, and spending time with his loving wife, Regina. Nathan was hard worker with a drive like no other. There was never any task too tall or anything that he couldn't fix. He was a good father that taught his son many valuable life lessons and skills to help him succeed in life. He was a good man, and would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. He impacted a lot of people's lives in a positive way and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. The good memories and stories that we all have with him will live on forever. Nathan loved and followed Jesus. He is now no longer in pain and is with The Lord.

Graveside services in honor of Nathan will occur on February 3, 2024, at 1 pm at Twin Oaks Cemetery, officiated by Joby Houghtaling. All family and friends are invited to attend.
