Natalie Baker

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 19, at Woodbine Cemetery for Natalie F. Baker, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Baker, 93, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia, New Mexico.

Rev. David Grousnick and Rev. Rick Smith will officiate at the services.

Mrs. Baker was born July 27, 1917 in Port Byron, Illinois the daughter of Ralph Emerson Filbert and Anna Eipper Filbert.

On Oct. 24, 1937 she was married to Noel D. Baker in Las Cruces, N.M. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia. He preceded her in death Dec. 17, 1996.

She was a housewife and member of First Christian Church. She was known as one of the Kinder Girls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Noel Dan Baker, and 2 sisters.

Survivors include daughters Nancy Lewis and husband Bill of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Kay Varnell and husband John of Artesia daughterinlaw Jan Britain and husband Mike of Las Vegas, Nevada 5 grandchildren Jerry Baker and wife Carlon, Teresa Matt and husband John, Tracey DGugliama and husband Bob, Sandra Thomas, Heidi Varnell and fiance Ray 7 greatgrandchildren 7 greatgreatgrandchildren nieces and nephews.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to your church or charity of choice.
