Nancy Hatley

There will be a celebration of life gathering at the Kennedys house Saturday, November 19th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for Nancy A. Hatley of Mayhill, New Mexico.

Mrs. Hatley, 66, died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Artesia, New Mexico.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Nancy was born March 19, 1945 in Texarkana, Texas the daughter of James E. Smith and Voyzie Smith Smith. She was a Mayhill resident for the last 11 years and before that was a longtime Carlsbad resident.

On March 7, 1964 she was married to Donald R. Hatley in Carlsbad.

Nancy was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband Donald R. Hatley of the family home daughter LaDawn Kennedy and husband Kevin of Artesia son Ronald Hatley and wife Kristin of Carlsbad brother Jeff Smith of Carlsbad sisters Gail Hamilton of Carlsbad, Bonnie Christiansen of Rock Springs, Wyoming, Linda Henderson of Rogers, Arkansas, Terri Jones of Delta, Utah, and LaJune Maxwell of Carlsbad grandchildren Dancee Hatley, Trystan Hatley, Justin Kennedy, and Holly Pacheco and a greatgranddaughter Kaydence Pacheco.
