Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007, at First Baptist Church for Monet Bean of Artesia, New Mexico. PMrs. Bean, 89, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. PRev. Rick Sullivan and Ty Bean will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Jerry Donald Fanning, Ty Bean, Dusty Bean, Calvin Bean, John Bean, Hazer Archer, and Blake Fanning. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary Monday beginning at 10:00 a.m. PMrs. Bean was born October 11, 1918 in Hillsboro, Texas; the daughter of Jackson Philander Wallace and Sarah Ollie Myers Wallace. POn May 19, 1934 she was married to Wince Joe Bean in Crosbyton, Texas. She came to Artesia in 1948 from Crosbyton. He preceded her in death April 15, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, and three brothers. PMonet was a homemaker and also retired from Artesia General Hospital where she worked in the Dietary department. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church later moving her membership to Lakewood Baptist Church and then to First Baptist Church. She was a Sunday School Teacher and loved to cook; especially peach cobbler. PSurvivors include her daughter Lela Fanning and husband Jerry of Artesia; sons Dale Bean of Artesia, Sam Bean and wife Darlene of Carlsbad, N.M., and Mickey Bean and wife Janet of Artesia; brother Quincy Wallace and wife Dee Dee of Artesia; 8 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
