Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 25, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Moises L. Catano of Artesia, New Mexico. PMr. Catano, 82, died Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center in Artesia, New Mexico. PFr. Richard Lifrak SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Willie Rosales, Jesse Armendariz, Joe Serano, Jr., Manuel Villanueva, Angelo Thompson, and Julian Hernandez. PVisitation will be at Terpening amp; Son Mortuary Sunday beginning at 2:00 p.m. A prayer service is scheduled at Our Lady of Grace Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Mr. Catano was born December 24, 1924 in Barstow, Texas; the son of Pomposo Catano and Pabula Lujan Catano. PHe was a long time Artesia resident. On Jan. 20, 1952 he was married to Luz Corrales in Artesia. PHe was a feed mixer at the Alfalfa Mill and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. PMoises was preceded in death by his parents; brother Chon Catano; nephews Chon Catano, Jr., and Martin Catano, Jr.
Survivors include his wife Luz Catano of the family home; daughter Elva Lucero and husband Martin of Las Cruces, N.M.; brother Martin Catano of Artesia; grandchildren Daniel Lucero and Israel Lucero both of Las Cruces; and great-granddaughter Aleesha Lucero of Las Cruces.
