Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodbine Cemetery for Miriam "Mim" S. Worlow of Artesia.
Mrs. Worlow, 80, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2016 at the Good Life Senior Living and Memory Care in Artesia, NM.
Pastor Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services.
Visitation will be on Monday, January 9, at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Miriam was born on January 8, 1936 in Artesia; the daughter of Howard R. Stroup and Anna Louise (Gault) Stroup. On June 4, 1955 she married Charles Asbury Glover in Artesia. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1976. In May of 1983 she married William R. Worlow in Artesia. He preceded her in death in May of 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a brother James King Stroup and a son-in-law Clifford Tepe.
She was a graduate of Artesia High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education from UTEP in 1973. She worked as an Administrative Assistant. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Altrusa. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, spending time with her family and her four-legged furry friends.
Survivors include her daughter Deborah Tepe of Canadian, TX; sons Steve Glover of Artesia, Marc Glover and wife Dina of Artesia, John Glover of Albuquerque, NM and Roger Glover of Grapevine, TX; brothers Mark Stroup of Las Cruces, NM and Tom Stroup of Truth or Consequences, NM; grandchildren Sarah Glover, Grace Tepe, Anna Tepe, Stephen Baker-Glover, Sean Baker-Glover, Billy Glover, Alex Males and Allyson Males; and great-grandaughter Cora.
