Minnie Stevenson

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Pinon Church of Christ in Pinon, N.M. for Minnie Myrtle Stevenson of Roswell New Mexico. Mrs. Stevenson, 95, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at Casa Maria Nursing Center in Roswell. Doug Austin will officiate at the services with burial at the Pinon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Terry Stevenson, Brad Stevenson, Rick Kniepkemp, Paul Kniepkemp, Arden Lewis, and Herbie Gage. Honorary pallbearers will be all family and friends. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 a.m. Friday. Mrs. Stevenson was born November 27, 1911 in Marcia, New Mexico; the daughter of James Lungford Dean and Minnie Mae Scott Dean. On April 12, 1930 she was married to Glenn Walter Stevenson in Carlsbad, N.M. She came to the Pinon area in 1913. He preceded her in death December 11, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers George Herman Dean, and Thomas Darrell Dean; sisters Carrie Hennessee, Lunye Mae Munson, and Bobbie Dean Powell. She was a homemaker and a member of the Pinon Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter Glenna L. Bertola and husband Chris of Roswell; son Terry Stevenson and wife Patricia of Alamogordo, N.M.; grandchildren Brad Stevenson, Eric Stevenson, Christal Taliaferro and Barry Bertola; great-grandchildren Lindsey Nieman, Matthew Taliaferro, Darris Taliaferro, Garrett Bertola, and Austin Bertola.
