Milton Bonds

Services are scheduled Thursday, November 7 at the Rutledge-Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Hico, Texas for Milton Clark Bonds of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Bonds, 80, died Sunday, November 3, 2002 at his home. Burial will be at the Oden Chapel Cemetery in Hico. Mr. Bonds was born May 22, 1922 in Texas; the son of Walter Pope Bonds and Ethel Mae Vaughn Bonds. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp during World War II. On February 12, 1950 he was married to Francene Pruitt in Clovis, N.M. He lived in Artesia for 43 years and was a driller in the oil field. He was a member of the Baptist denomination. Mr. Bonds was preceded in death by a son, Larry Wayne Bonds; a daughter, Betty Katherine Willman; and by his parents; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include his wife Francene Bonds of the family home; a daughter Vivian Elaine Adamson of Artesia; sons Randy Milton Bonds of Lubbock, Texas and Gary Allen Bonds of Artesia; sisters Lola Margaret Eggen of Clifton, Texas and Mattie Nell Boswell of Laguna Park, Texas; a brother Clarence Wayne Bonds of Laguna Park; and grandchildren Nicholas Chase Willman and Natalie Elaine Willman.
