Mildred Cole

Services are scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday, May 20 at Terpening Son Chapel for Mary Mildred Cole of Carlsbad, New Mexico.

Mrs. Cole, 94, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Landsun Health Service Center in Carlsbad.

Rev. Herb Gage and Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Danny York, John Allen, Roger Wilson, and Roland Cardona.

Mildred was born August 26, 1918 in Hamilton, Texas the daughter of Euen Fount Harris and Nola Ellen Redden Harris.

On July 15, 1937 she was married to Floyd Lee Cole in Alamogordo, N.M. They came to Artesia in 1976 from Hope, N.M. and later moved to Carlsbad. He preceded her in death February 29, 1996.

Mildred was retired from the United States Postal Service where she was the Postmaster of Hope. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Artesia and the Eastern Star.
