Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Sep. 14, 2013 at First Baptist Church for Michael Bruce Sutton, 502 W. James Ave., Artesia, New Mexico.
Mr. Sutton, 69, died Saturday, September 7, 2013 after a long illness in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Honorary pallbearers will be Harmon Journey, Jarret Poe, David De Rosa, Rufus Brown, Robby Sutton, Jim Clowe, Gene Clowe, and William Propsner.
Michael was born February 24, 1944 in Ozona, Texas.
Survivors include wife Della Penny Sutton of Artesia brothers Leo Sutton Jr. and wife Doris of Monahans, Texas, and William Sutton of Hobbs, NM sisterinlaw Kathleen Bauer of Artesia brothersinlaw Jack Farrel Price of Capitan, NM, George Price and wife Sharon of Capitan, NM, and Gerald Price of Hemphill, Texas nephew Robby Sutton of Okeene, Oklahoma niece Renee Dawson of Monahans, Texas numerous other nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces.
Preceded in death by father Leo Sutton Sr., mother Sybil Sutton, fatherinlaw Jack Price, motherinlaw Bertie Price, brotherinlaw Hank Bauer, sistersinlaw Carol Sutton and Sharon Price, and nephew Ron Taylor.
Bruce was loved by all who knew him, especially kids. He was in the army and worked in the oilfield. His favorite job was the twenty plus years for Turkey Track Ranch. He loved to go hunting, camping and to flea markets with family and friends. His best friends Robert Wright and Danny Martin were his comrades in orneriness while growing up in Maljamar, N.M.
