Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Friday, May. 13, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Michael H. Salas of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Mr. Salas, 39, died Sunday, May 8, 2011 at his home.
Fr. Brian Guerrini, SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eloy Salsberry, Freddy Florez, Paul Brizeno, Norman Coulter, Joe Franco, and Rudy Florez. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Michael was born November 17, 1971 in Artesia, New Mexico the son of Eddie Salas and Rosalinda Huerta Salas. He was a longtime Artesia resident before moving to Albuquerque in 1992.
Michael worked as a Food Manager at a grocery store and was of the Catholic denomination.
He was preceded in death by a sister Bianca LeRay Sosa and grandparents Agatigo Huerta, and Domingo and Thomasa Salas.
Survivors include his parents Eddie Salas of Artesia, and Rosalinda Salas of Albuquerque daughter Destiny Marquez Salas of Artesia brothers Steven Orosco of Artesia, and Matthew Salas of Albuquerque sisters Antoinette Salas of Artesia, and Vashti Venegas of Albuquerque grandmother Erlinda Huerta of Artesia aunts and uncles Eloy and Rickie Salsberry of Artesia, Joe and Nancy Franco of Artesia, Chris, Robert, Juan, and Raymond Huerta of Artesia, Hope, Cassie, and Blanca Huerta of Albuquerque, and Joe and Kika Perez of Roswell, N.M., Yolanda and Nieves Grado, Tommy and Dora Salas, Ernest and Jackie Salas, Clotilde and Manuel Fuentes, Domingo Jr. and Jimmy Salas, Chris, Gabriel, and Gina Salas, and Sisto Ponce and nieces Emily and Sierra Huerta and Mariah Salas of Albquerque.
The family will be receiving friends at 205 N. 14th, in Artesia.
