Michael Evans

Memorial services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, at the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints for Michael K. Evans of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Evans, 24, died Sunday, January 29, 2012 at Artesia General Hospital Emergency Room.

Jeff Van Slyke will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Michael was born September 1, 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida the son of James Evans and Melody Kay Barron Evans. He came to Artesia in 2008 from Timberon, N.M.

He worked as a Security Guard and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include stepfather Gary Christensen of the family home brothers James Martinez of Saint Augustine, Florida, and John Corbet of Farmington, N.M. sister Stacie Kay Evans of Aztec, N.M. and grandmother Dorris K. Barron of Artesia.
