Services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, at First Baptist Church for Michael Dean Harwell of Hobbs, New Mexico.
Mr. Harwell, 57, died Saturday, February 13, 2010 at his home.
Rev. Rick Sullivan will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jay Harwell, Gene Harwell, Lee Harwell, Baby James Bejarano, J.L. Funk, and Patrick Harwell.
Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Mr. Harwell was born October 11, 1952 in Stamford, Texas the son of James Harwell and Mary Alexander Harwell.
On October 20, 2000 he was married to Yolanda Lozano in Artesia. He came to Artesia in 1989 from Lubbock, Texas then moved to Hobbs in 2000.
He was a truck driver for Halliburton and of the Baptist denomination. Michael was also a member of the Elks Lodge, and a former volunteer firefighter for the Atoka Fire Dept. He loved to ride his motorcycle and was known for his sense of humor.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Yolanda Harwell of the family home daughters Misti Harwell and Victor Rodriguez of Artesia, and Hayley Bejarano of Lubbock stepdaughter Sonya Agnew of Hobbs stepsons Clint Agnew of Hobbs, and Adam Agnew and wife Nancy of Artesia brothers Jay Harwell, Gene Harwell, and Lee Harwell all of Lubbock stepfather Wayne Ripple of Lubbock 8 grandchildren Alexis, Kamiley, Kinsley, James, Micaela, Jordan, Blaise, and Gianna.
