Michael Carr

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Terpening Son Chapel for Michael William Carr of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Carr, 61, died Sunday, February 20, 2011 at his home.

Cecil Kimberlin will officiate at the services. Mr. Carr will also have a funeral mass in DeKalb, Illinois with burial at St. Marys Cemetery.

Mr. Carr was born January 27, 1950 in DeKalb the son of Leo Edward Carr and Mary Elizabeth Runnells Carr.

He came to Artesia in 1999 from Illinois.

Michael was an auto part salesman, a member of St. Anthonys Catholic Church, an avid outdoorsman who loved to woodwork. He was also a boy scout troop leader for over 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a brother E. Kelly Carr.

Survivors include his mother Mary Runnells Carr of Artesia daughter Heather Stoudt and husband David of Morrison, Illinois son Kelly Carr and wife Joy of Chanute, Kansas sister Sue Williams of Artesia stepsister Cindy Livasay and husband Melvin of Artesia uncle Harry Runnells of Arkansas 2 granddaughters Violet and Lila Stoudt.
