Melody Christensen

No services are scheduled for Melody Kay Christensen of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Christensen, 43, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at her home.

Direct cremation is under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Melody was born November 19, 1967 in Beaumont, Texas the daughter of James A. Barron and Doris K. Thompson Barron. She came to Artesia in April of 2008 from Timberon, New Mexico.

On November 27, 1997 she was married to Gary Dean Christensen in Timberon.


She was a homemaker, a member of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and a caregiver to many friends and family.

Melody was preceded in death by her father and a sister Sheena Moad.

Survivors include her husband Gary Dean Christensen of the family home mother Doris Barron of Artesia daughter Stacie Evans of Aztec, N.M. sons John Cobert of Aztec, James Martinez of Middleburg, Florida, Michael Evans of Artesia, and Gary Don Christensen of Deerfield Beach, Florida grandchildren Keilyn Clinton and Christina Hipkins of Aztec.
