Maxine Villa

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Maxine Juarez Villa, 312 JJ Clarke Drive, Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Villa,87, died , August 16, 2011, at Artesia General Hospital.

Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jeffry Chavez, Mark Chavez, John Anthony Reyes, Ben Valenzuela, Thomas Juarez, Michael DeVito, and Sam McCaw.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of Grace Church. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.

Maxine was born August 22, 1923 in Artesia, New Mexico the daughter of Thomas Juarez and Italia Grassi Juarez. She was a lifelong resident of Artesia.

In 1960 she was married to Frank Villa in Artesia.

She was a sales clerk at Anthonys for 35 years and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and the San Jose Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Joe Reyes, son Joe Reyes Jr., sister Mabel Juarez, brothers Clarence Juarez, Ismael Juarez, Lonnie Juarez and Robert Grassi.

Survivors include her husband Frank Villa of family home sons Johnny Reyes and wife Mary of Artesia, and James Villa and wife Sandy of Artesia daughter Margaret Chavez and husband Frank of Roswell, N.M. brothers Jimmy Juarez and wife Cecilia of Albuquerque, N.M., and Israel Juarez of Albuquerque 11 grandchildren John Anthony Reyes and wife Teresa, Vivian Reyes and Wendy Beeghly, Jeffry Chavez, Mark Chavez and wife Crystal, Lisa Chavez, Jamie Villa, Krista Villa, Priscilla Reyes,Sherrie Collins and husband Mitchell, Valerie White and special grandson Ben Valenzuela 11 greatgrandchildren numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the San Jose Society at Our Lady of Grace Church.
