Mary Williams

Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, at West Main Baptist Church for Mrs. Mary Janette Williams of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Williams, 76, died March 25, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.

Jason Kraft and Matt Conn will officiate at the services with burial to follow at Woodbine Cemetery. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening & Son Mortuary.

Mary was born June 28, 1942 in Fordyce, Arkansas, the daughter of Loyed A. Langley and Lenora (Jordan) McMan.

On November 17,1970 she was married to Gary Williams in Roswell, New Mexico. They moved to Artesia in 1990 from Roswell.

Mary enjoyed spending her time doing jigsaw puzzles, watching her favorite t.v. programs, having her morning coffee and caring for her pets alongside Gary. She cherished every minute of life through spending time with her many children, grand children and great-grandchildren. Her love for all was unmistakable and shined light into all that she met. She enjoyed the company of outstanding neighbors who were just as close as family to her and the love they have shown over the years was truly appreciated by Mary and Gary alike. She loved the Lord with all her heart mind and soul, and made it evident to those in her life. Mary peacefully joined the Lord and is whole again in Christ.

She was preceded in death by mother Lenora McMan and stepfather Colen McMan, sons Danny Ray Conn, Sam Conn, and Gary Williams Jr.

Surviving family include husband Gary Williams of the family home, daughter Penny Youtsey and husband Jeff, Sister Joan Wooten, sister-in-law Teri Dodson and husband Mike, sister-in-law Laverne Robinson and husband Johnny. Mary has grand children Matt Conn and wife Melissa, Chelsea Bilberry and husband Justin, Chandler Youtsey, great-grandchildren Ethan, Mason, and Ashton Conn, Jed and Jax Bilberry.
