Our Mary Darlin' is at peace.

Mary Teresa (McNeff) Kennedy passed away September 11, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday morning, September 15, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodbine Cemetery with Pastor Michael Elliot of Faith Baptist Church officiating. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Visitation will be Monday evening at Terpening and Son Mortuary from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

She was born May 28 in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to John James and Anna P. (Fagan) McNeff. As a young child she and her family moved to west Texas where she met her future husband, Donald A. Kennedy. They were married on June 29, 1939 in Pecos, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 16, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents and fiver brothers and sisters.

Mary is survived by her children: Donald J. Kennedy of Dallas, Texas, and Carolyn and Sherill Shearman of Artesia; grandchildren: Suzanne Ornelas of Artesia, David and Debbie Shearman of Artesia, Mike and Christi Shearman of Artesia, and Christopher and Tracey Kennedy of Dallas; great-grandchildren: Candice and Victor D. Rodriguez, Shane Shearman and Samantha Sanchez, Ryan Caldwell, T'Naya and Derrick Edwards, Gunnar Shearman, Shelby Shearman, Zachary Kennedy, Alexander (Zander) Kennedy; and great-great-grandchildren Ashlyn Rodriguez, Raegen Rodriguez, Logan Rodriguez; and by her special friend and long-time dancing partner Don Conner.

She was our loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, wife, and daughter. We will miss her love and laughter every day.
