Services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 13, at First Christian Church for Mary Nell Juarez of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Juarez, 89, died Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Artesia Good Samaritan Center. Rev. Gerald Harper will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ricky Swift, Cody Hutchens, Danny Knox, Jeremy Knox, Bricky Juarez, and Fred Garcia. Visitation for her will be at Terpening Son Mortuary starting Friday at 5 P.M. Mrs. Juarez was born September 4, 1915, in Snyder, Texas; the daughter of Walter Morton and Micha Garoutte Morton. On April 15, 1945 she was married to Bennie L. Juarez in Carlsbad, NM. He preceded her in death June 15, 1987. She came to Artesia in 1945 from Carlsbad. She was a homemaker and member of First Christian Church, CWS Christian Womens Service and former member of Eastern Star. Survivors include two Daughters Betty L. Knox and husband Everett of Seattle, Wash., and Barbara Dunlap and husband James of Roswell, N.M.; nine grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Mrs. Juarez was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church, or a charity of your choice.
