Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 13, at First United Methodist Church, for Mary C. Innis, 1006 Clayton Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Innis, 85, died Saturday, September 9, 2006 at Artesia General Hospital. Rev. Paul Dean Duerksen will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robin Bowen, David Bowen, Joshua Bowen, Randy Banks, Joe Schiel Jr., and Ronnie Null. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. Innis was born February 12, 1921 in Amarillo, Texas; the daughter of James Conway Porter and Ethel Hale Conway. She came to Artesia in 1954 from Lordsburg, N.M. On August 13, 1960 she was married to Marcus Furman Innis in Lubbock, Texas. He preceded her in death May 1, 1972. She was a Public School Teacher, and member of First United Methodist Church, and the Retired Teacher's Association. Survivors include daughter Shirley Bowen and husband Robin of Huntington Beach, Calif.; sister Audrey Banks of Lubbock, Texas; brother James Porter of Clovis, N.M.; grandchildren Ashley Bowen of Fountain Valley, Calif., David Bowen of Folsom, Calif., and Joshua Bowen of San Diego, Calif.
