Memorial services are scheduled at 10 Monday, January 24, at St. Pauls Episcopal Church for Mary Louise Cockrell of Artesia, New Mexico.
Mrs. Cockrell, 92, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Artesia General Hospital.
Cremation is under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.
Fr. Maurice Geldert will officiate at the services with burial of the cremated remains at Woodbine Cemetery.
Mrs. Cockrell was born July 19, 1918 in Henderson, Texas the daughter of William Hoyt Addington and Rhoda Elvira Flanagin Addington.
On Sept. 3, 1947 she was married to Rance Greene in Breckenridge, Texas. She came to Artesia in 1970 from Texas. He preceded her in death April 27, 1990.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and siblings.
Mary worked as a bookkeeper for Artesia General Hospital. She was a member of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, the Episcopal Christian Women, and the Extension Club.
Survivors include her daughter Jan Briggs and husband Jess of Artesia sons Mike Cockrell and wife Kay of Arlington, Texas, David Cockrell and wife Debbie of Weatherford, Texas, and Bill Cockrell and wife Michelle of Denver City, Texas sister Mayme Hayse of Idaho grandchildren Wendy Stewart and husband Brad, Debbie Espinoza and husband Joe, Diana Briggs, Kevin Powers and wife Jamey, Cory Cockrell and wife Chris, Kip Cockrell and wife Michelle, April Krohnert and husband Mathew, Sarah Clark and husband Donnie, Ryan Ford and wife Amy and Amanda Ford greatgrandchildren Clark Stewart, Amanda Kimmons and husband Jason, Samantha Cannon, Justin Powell, Kimberly Powell, Zach and Ross Espinoza, Preston, Hunter, Kaden, Clifton and Ellison Cockrell, Ramani and Shraddha Krohnert, Katherine and Addison Ford and a greatgreatgrandchild Destiny Powell.
