Marvin Sanders

Private family memorial graveside services are scheduled for Marvin Lloyd Sanders of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Sanders, 88, died Friday, October 31, 2014 at his home.

Rev. Monty Leavell will officiate at the services. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Marvin was born June 13, 1926 in Fairfax, Oklahoma the son of Charles Edward Sanders and Mabel Routen Sanders. He came to Artesia in 2006 from Las Cruses, New Mexico.

He served his country in the Unites States Navy during World War II.

Marvin was a salesman for Tisco Fasteners and was of the Methodist denomination. He was a Mason, member of the Elks lodge, and the Disabled Veteran Administration of WWII.

He was preceded in death by parents sister Lois Monro brother David Hart Sanders and daughter Karey Taylor.

Survivors include son Kevin Sanders of Artesia daughters Jeannie Graham of Artesia, and Jaynie Hager of Artesia grandchildren Kristy Ford, Stephanie Mansel, Bridgette Graham, Lyndee Graham, Missey LaMure, Jennifer Taylor, and Ronnie Taylor greatgrandchildren Shaleigh Smith, Bradley Graham, Lily Graham, Lakoda LaMure, Trent Taylor, Nathon Taylor, Caleb Leger, and Brylan Taylor greatgreatgrandchildren Kally Smith, and Kayten Smith.
