Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Martin Grado, Jr., 410 W. Dallas Ave., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Grado, 21, died Thursday, May 26, 2005 at Artesia General Hospital. Burial will be at the Lake Arthur Cemetery in Lake Arthur, N.M. Pallbearers will be Jose Luis Grado, Jose Carlos Grado, Enrique Velo, Jr., Angel Fierro, Martin Calderon, Caesar Baeza, Emiliano Barela, and Manuel Grado. Honorary pallbearers will be Lorenzo Grado, Alexis Grado, Gabriel Grado, Gilbert Grado, Luis Angel Velo, and Leonel Velo. A vigil service is also planned for 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace. Visitation at Terpening Son Mortuary will begin at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Grado was born March 6, 1984 in Artesia; the son of Martin Grado, Sr. and Zenaida Pedroza Grado. A lifelong Artesia resident, he worked as a milker at a dairy and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. Survivors include his father Martin Grado, Sr. of Artesia; his mother Zenaida Soto of Artesia; brothers Gabriel Grado, Gilbert Grado, and Pablo Hernandez all of Artesia; sisters Michelle Hernandez, Jessica Hernandez, and Daniella Grado all of Artesia; his grandmother Rosa Pedroza of Carlsbad; an aunt and uncle Oscar and Arcilia Grado of Artesia; and numerous cousins.
