Graveside services are scheduled at 11:15 a.m. Monday, July. 22, at the Sante Fe National Cemetery for Martin Edwin Gollob of Lake Arthur, New Mexico.
Mr. Gollob, 78, died Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at his home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons and family.
Martin was born September 20, 1934 in Los Angeles, California the son of Martin Phillip Gollob and Inness Brokaw Gollob.
He served his country in both the United States Marine Corp and the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. In loving the military and fulfilling his duties, he favored the Marine Corp.
On May 6, 1966 he was married to Sue Kanady in Santa Maria, California. They came to Lake Arthur in 1977.
Martin later worked as a Correctional Officer for the State of New Mexico and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police in Roswell. He loved to read and enjoyed gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife Sue Gollob of the family home daughters Camille Cannon and husband Keith of Artesia, N.M., and Candace Gollob of Lake Arthur grandchildren Abraham Gonzalez and wife Serrina, Adam Gonzalez, Amber Cannon, Joshua Cannon, Adelicia Gonzalez, and Mitchel Cannon and sister Linda Aleshire of Kerrville, Texas.
