Martha Toole

Graveside services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 20, at Woodbine Cemetery for Martha L. Toole of Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Toole, 80, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at her home. Rev. J. B. Craft will officiate at the services. No public viewing or visitation is scheduled. Mrs. Toole was born January 28, 1928 in Guyman, Oklahoma; the daughter of George W. Goad and Velvia Gaither Goad. On August 10, 1972 she was married to John Toole in Trinidad, Colorado. They came to Artesia in 1977 from Espanola, N.M. He preceded her in death Nov. 27, 1987. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. Survivors include her son Robert Goad of Artesia; daughter Mary Goad of Artesia; sister Ruth Smith of Espanola; brother Herman Goad of Espanola; and some nieces and nephews.
