Marta Valenzuela

A rosary is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 7, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Marta Isela Valenzuela, 201 N. Tenth St., Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Valenzuela, 66, died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Terpening Son Mortuary.

Marta was born May 29, 1945 in El Paso, Texas the daughter of Emilio Jaurequi and Manuela Holguin Jaurequi. She came to Artesia in 1996 from Fabens, Texas.

On August 14, 2011 she was married to Jose L. Valenzuela in Artesia.

She was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sons Andres Fabela and Estevan Fabela, 2 brothers and a sister.

Survivors include her husband Jose Valenzuela of Artesia daughter Michelle Stephens of Athens, Georgia daughterinlaw Elizabeth Fabela of Artesia 4 brothers and 9 sisters 8 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.
