Marsha Sneed

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Woodbine Cemetery for former Artesia resident Marsha Ann Sneed, of Tampa, Florida.

Ms. Sneed, 62, died Saturday, December 15, 2012 in Somerset, Kentucky after a lengthy battle with cancer.

Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Marsha was born November 29, 1950 in Artesia the daughter of Virgil Eugene Sneed and Catherine Ruth Cornwell Sneed.

She was a 1968 graduate of Artesia High School and later attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales, graduating with a degree in music. Marsha taught Junior High and High Schools in North Dakota, then serviced as a music professor at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idoha. She retired from teaching and settled in her home in Kentuckys Blue Ridge Mountains.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Larry W. Sneed.

She is survived by her sister Linda K Cole of Amarillo, Texas brothers Virgil R. Sneed, Sr. of Amarillo and Jerald D. Sneed of Hobbs, N.M. and numerous nieces and nephews.
