Mark Winkle

Graveside services are scheduled at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, at the Upper Hope Cemetery, Hope, N.M., for Mark Van Winkle, 13 Karr Ranch Rd., Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. Van Winkle, 53, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Artesia General Hospital. Pallbearers will be Phillip Hammond, Marty Posey, Tom Navarrette, Steve Taggart, Dwight Phillips, and Stan Hammond. Mr. Van Winkle was born June 11, 1953 in Artesia, New Mexico; the son of A.J. Van Winkle and Bobbie Jo Munson Van Winkle. He was a lifelong area resident and a a lab technician for Navajo Refinery. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Survivors include his mother Bobbie Jo Van Winkle of Artesia; brother James Van Winkle of Artesia; and sister Sue Sleeman of Carlsbad, N.M.
