pA celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 3, at First United Methodist Church. Rev. Monty Leavell will officiate at the services. Pallbearers will be Bruce Waugh, Doug Coffman, Cody Waugh, Baylor Coffman, Rick White, Walter Butch White and Craig Simons.p
pVisitation will be at Terpening amp Son Mortuary from noon until 6 p.m. on Wednesday.p
pMimi was born March 28, 1938 in Santa Fe, NM the daughter of Edward P. Chase and Marion A. Chase.p
pOn Dec. 20, 1959 she was married to Max Ratliff in Albuquerque, NM. They moved to Artesia in 1962 from Albuquerque, NM.p
pShe was a homemaker and also a bookkeeper at the Artesia School Administration office. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, Line Dancers of Artesia Senior Center and her Bunco group. Mimi was an animal lover who had a deep love for the outdoors, including gardening and nurturing flowers. nbspShe loved to water ski, hunt, nbspfish, and bake homemade pies. nbspCamping and grilling steaks with company, nbspsome with guitars who sang songs under the beauty of the stars, always made her happy. nbspShe was also very feminine, taking great pride in looking her best. nbspHer beloved husband Max considered her a beauty queen, as she was always dressed beautifully, with her hair and makeup done to a T. nbsp She loved her family so very, very much.nbspp
pShe was preceded in death by her parents.p
pSurvivors include her husband Max Ratliff of the family home daughters Jennifer Waugh amp husband Bruce of Nashville, Tenn., and Llana Coffman and husband Doug of Oklahoma City, Okla. sister Sally White of Albuquerque, NM sisterinlaw Susan Simons and husband Mike of Artesia grandchildren Whitney Waugh, Cody Waugh, Skye Coffman, Abrielle Brie Coffman, and Baylor Coffman numerous nieces and nephews.p
