Marion Mchenry, Jr.

Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date for Marion Bud McHenry, Jr., 198 Choctaw Road, Hagerman, New Mexico. Mr. McHenry, 71, died Monday, December 31, 2007 at his home. Cremation is under direction of Terpening Son Mortuary. Mr. McHenry was born March 4, 1936 in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania; the son of Marion W. McHenry and Helen Jane Lewis McHenry. On April 1, 1961 he was married to Vicki Pouzar in Phoenix, Arizona. She preceded him in death September 9, 2002. He then moved to Hagerman in 2002 from Colorado. He was also preceded in death by his parents, and some of his siblings. He served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict and later changed to the Air Force Reserves where he obtained the rank of Senior Master Sergeant. He retired from the Air Force in 1996. After his retirement from the military, he worked as a greeter at Wal-Mart here in Artesia. Survivors include sons Leland McHenry and wife Delora of Hagerman, and William McHenry of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughter Dee Woody of Morganton, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a few of his siblings. Bud was one of ten children.
