Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Wednesday, September 24 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Artesia, N.M. for longtime Artesia resident Mario Galindo, 310 E. Keith, Roswell, New Mexico. Mr. Galindo, 66, died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at his home. Father Paul Murtagh will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family members and friends. A rosary service is also planned for 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at Our Lady of Grace. Mr. Galindo was born July 28, 1937 in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico; the son of Jesus Ramirez and Candelaria Galindo. On July 4, 1959 he was married to Margarita Castillo Tellez in Juarez, Mexico. He came to Artesia in 1960 from Juarez and recently moved to Roswell. He was a truck driver and member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his father Jesus Ramirez and by a sister Bertha R. Velasquez. Survivors include his wife Margarita C. Galindo of the home; his mother Candelaria Galindo of Artesia; sons Maria E. Galindo and wife Tamara Galindo of Minneapolis, Minn., Felipe Galindo and wife Monica K. Galindo of Roswell, and Jesse Galindo and wife Tina R. also of Roswell; a daughter Elizabeth Patricia Galindo of Minneapolis; a sister Celia G. Kelly of Artesia; half-brothers Guillermo Ramirez of California and Jesus Ramirez of Ocotlan, Jalisco, Mexico; and five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Visitation will be at Terpening Son Mortuary beginning at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday.
