Maria Galindo

Services are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Maria Cruz Galindo of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mrs. Galindo, 84, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010 at Heartland Nursing Center in Artesia.

Fr. Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park.

A rosary will be at Our Lady of Grace Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Mrs. Galindo was born September 14, 1925 in Ruidosa, Texas the daughter of Liborio Perez and Paula Campos Perez.

In March of 1947 she was married to Ignacio Galindo in Marfa, Texas. They came to Artesia in 1954 from Texas.

Maria was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, and the Cursillistas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include her husband Ignacio Galindo of the family home sons Joe Galindo and wife Ramona of Artesia, and Robert Galindo and wife Teresa Quitoriano of Albuquerque, N.M. sisters Nativadad Ramirez of Artesia, Mariana Carrasco of Artesia, and Rosa Molina of Hobbs, N.M. brother Gonzalo Perez of Artesia grandchildren Janel Rosario, Joella Galindo, Jeanette Galindo, Joanna Galindo, Andres Galindo, and Cristina Galindo and 7 Greatgrandchildren.
