Services are scheduled for 10 am Friday, March 11, at Spanish Assembly of God for Maria Catalina Morales of Artesia, New Mexico. Burial will follow the services at Woodbine Cemetery.
Mrs. Morales, 91, died on March 5, 2022 in Artesia.
Visitation will be from 1 to 6 pm on Wednesday at Terpening & Son Chapel, and at 10 am on Thursday at the Spanish Assembly of God. Pallbearers will be her sons Rodolfo, Juan Manuel, Humberto, Pedro, Anastacio, Juan Francisco, and Gonzalo. Honorary pallbearers will be Juventino Melendez, Gregorio Ramirez, Jose Felix Velasquez and Jose Felix Velasquez Jr.
Maria Catalina was born on November 25, 1930 in El Arenal, Zacatecas, Mexico; the daughter of Juan Pablo Juarez and Josefa Felix Juarez. She was married to Gonzalo Morales Cruz.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, working crossword puzzles, watching wrestling, drinking coffee all day and most of all spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gonzalo Morales on September 17, 2003, her parents, Pablo and Josefa Juarez a grandson Salvador Moreno Morales, three brothers and a sister.
Survivors include her sons Rodolfo Rodriquez Juarez and wife Consuelo, Juan Manuel Rodriquez Juarez and wife Lourdes, Humberto Morales Juarez and wife Petra, Pedro Antonio Morales Juarez and wife Cecilia, Anastacio German Morales Juarez and wife Laura, Juan Francisco Morales Juarez, and Gonzalo Morales Juarez and wife Brandie; daughters San Juana Rodriquez Juarez and husband Jose Felix, Ana Silvia Rodriquez Ramirez and husband Juventino, Elsa Maria Morales Juarez, and Martha Rosa Morales Juarez and husband Gregorio; brothers Eduardo Juarez Felix and wife Maria, Jorge Juarez Felix and wife Maria Luisa, and Francisco Juarez Felix; sisters Maria de los Angeles Juarez Felix and husband Miguel Mora, and Magdalena Juarez Felix and husband Reyes Gomez; also by 37 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
