Maria Cabezuela

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Maria Del Rosario Cabezuela of El Paso, Texas.

Mrs. Cabezuela, 61, died February 26, 2020 in El Paso, Texas.

Fr. V.J. will officiate at the services with burial to at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fernando Martinez, Jorge Luis Martinez, Raymundo Gonzales, Carlos Gonzales, Raul Lerma Jr. and Michael Martinez.

Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace.

Maria was born February 6, 1959 in Juarez, Mexico, the daughter of Porfilio Jeminez and Albecia (Cabezuela) Lerma.

Maria worked as an education manager at Head-start for many years. She loved working with children and enjoyed watching them grow up. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and love ones. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, an Apostalado, and a Lector at church. Her hobbies were listening to music and would occasionally sing along, watching movies and FaceTime with grand-babies.

Maria was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Senaida Martinez.

She is survived by her son Orlando Cabezuela and wife Brittany Cabezuela of Artesia; sisters Ofelia Gonzalez of El Paso, Magdalena Villafranca of Crowley, TX, and Dolores Chavez of DeSoto, Texas; brothers Jesus Machuca and Andres Machuca both of El Paso, Raul Lerma of Odessa, Texas, Domingo Lerma of Odessa, and Lupe Lerma of Temecula, California; grandchildren Elliott and Elizabeth Cabezuela; and a host of nieces and nephews.
