Margie Ramirez

Services are scheduled at 9:30 A.M. Tuesday, December 21, at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church for Margie Ramirez, Artesia, New Mexico. Mrs. Ramirez, 73, died Saturday, December 18, 2004 in Artesia. Father Paul Murtagh SS.CC. will officiate at the services with burial at Twin Oaks Memorial Park. A vigil service is also scheduled for 6:30 P.M. Monday at Our Lady of Grace. Mrs. Ramirez was born April 24, 1931 in Artesia; the daughter of Atilano Reyes and Manuela Paz Reyes. On December 31, 1951 she was married to Andres Ramirez in Carlsbad, N.M. He preceded her in death August 5, 1957. She was also preceded in death by her parents; by brothers Daniel Reyes and Manuel Reyes; and by a sister Julia Garcia. A lifelong Artesia resident; she was a clerk at Fenn's Grocery and was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church; a Foster Grandparent; the Third Order of St. Francis; and volunteered with R.S.V.P. Survivors include sons Reynaldo Ramirez of Albuquerque, N.M. and Clarence Ramirez of Albuquerque; daughters Lorene Moreno of Artesia and Claire Sanchez of Artesia; a sister Josephine Rodriguez of Artesia; and five grandchildren.
