Margaret Aguilar

Services for Margaret Baca Aguilar will be held at Trinity Temple on Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 am. Pastor Larry Rolan will be presiding. Burial at Twin Oaks Cemetery immediately after the service.

Margaret was born to Albino and Mary Baca on June 27, 1934. She passed away at the age of 87, on March 11, 2022.

Margaret held multiple jobs. She served on the Artesia Public Schools School Board for 25 years, from February 1992 to 2017.

Margaret loved going to church. She was a very loving Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Margaret was a long resident of Artesia. She raised 7 children and many of their friends that would stay with her from time to time, her door was always open and she loved everyone. Margaret was a people person, who loved talking, visiting, and listening to anyone she met. She was loved by all who met her. Margaret always loved cooking her homemade spaghetti and meatballs for Christmas dinners.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Mary Baca. Grandmother Petra Baca. Two sisters, Lora Lopez, and Clara Landeros. Two brothers, Albino Baca Jr. and Bobby Alaniz. Two Great-Grandsons, Benjamin Hernandez and Matthew Fierro.

Margaret is survived by Rosemary Fierro and her husband, Sammy of Artesia. Suzanne Valencia of San Angelo. Texas. Jerome Aguilar and wife, Tracy of Artesia. Audrey Saenz and husband, Eli of Artesia. Mark Aguilar and wife, Margie of Carlsbad. Ivan Aguilar and wife, Celeste of San Angelo, Texas. Fabian Aguilar of Artesia. Brother Jo Baca of Artesia. Two nieces, Debra Martinez and family, and Ruth Valdez and family, both from Carlsbad. 21 Grandchildren, 27 Great-Grandchildren, 21 Great-Great Grandchildren, many nieces, and nephews.

The family would like to thank the special people that took such loving and great care of their Mother. Fussein of the Dialysis Center. Luisa Seal from Encompass Home Health Care. Jessica, Bonnie, and Debra from Hospice Care and Pastor Michael.
