Marcelino Galindo

Services are scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 19 at Hermosa Drive Church of Christ for Marcelino B. Galindo of Artesia, New Mexico.

Mr. Galindo, 70, died Monday, April 15, 2013 at Artesia General Hospital.

Michael Joiner will officiate at the services with burial at Woodbine Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Marcelino Galindo, III., Armando Valencia, Jr., Paul Fodge, Arturo Verdoza, Jaime Berdoza, Albert Galindo, and Eddy Valencia. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his remaining grandchildern.

Visitation will be at Terpenning Son Mortuary Thursday beginning at 10:00 a.m.

A rosary is also scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Terpening Son Mortuary.

Marcelino was born June 2, 1942 in Ruidosa, Texas the son of Guillermo Galindo and Rosalia Baeza Galindo. He came to Artesia in 1958 from Texas.

On August 3, 1960 he was married to Maria Antonia Perez in Pecos, Texas.

Marcelino was a landscaper and a member of Hermosa Drive Church of Christ. He enjoyed gardening and loved to hunt and be active in the mountains with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents brothers Franciso Berdoza, Tomas Verdoza, Ruberto Verdoza, and Elogio Verdoza and a sister Dominga Ramirez.

Survivors include his spouse Toni Galindo of the family home daughter Barbara Galindo of LaGrange, Texas sons Marcelino Galindo, Jr. and wife Olga of Artesia, Larry Galindo and wife Sara of Artesia, Danny Galindo and wife Tina of Artesia, Onesimo Ruiz of Chihuahua, Mexico, and Frankie Galindo and wife Trini of Carlsbad, N.M. sisters Virginia Valencia of Artesia, Lucia Galindo of Austin, Texas, Lola Galindo of El Paso, Texas, Carmen Casillas of El Paso, Paubla Bustos of El Paso, Blanca Galindo of Lovington, N.M., and Rosa Galindo of Albuquerque, N.M. brothers Angel Verdoza of Pheonix, Arizona, Guillermo Galindo of San Antonio, Texas, Joe Galindo of El Paso, Sepriano Galindo of El Paso, and David Galindo of El Paso 30 grandchildren and 32 greatgrandchildren.
